Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various tasks related to patient care and medication administration. Duties

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Process prescriptions and manage medication orders efficiently. Provide information regarding medications, including usage, side effects, and storage. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and transactions. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and checking expiry dates. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the counter area. Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash register.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable. Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in using computer systems for record keeping and order processing. A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
