Trainee Counter Assistant (12.21/hr) - the ADULT national living wage - regardless of age

Hours on offer.

Monday 9am to 5pm - 30mins unpaid break

Tuesday - OFF

Wednesday 3pm to 9pm - 30mins unpaid break

Thursday 10am to 5pm - 30mins unpaid break

Friday 9am to 5pm - 30mins unpaid break

Saturday and Sunday - OFF

Total hours 27.5hrs/week

I need everyone who applies to be aware we are VERY BUSY and it is a tough job. - there have been many quitters! We are a very busy pharmacy - probably the busiest in Oldham.

There is a lot to learn and it is physically and mentally demanding. If you imagine working in a fast food restaurant, you are the flipping the burgers, frying the chips, pouring the drinks and serving the customers at the same time - that's how crazy it can get.

We are looking to employ someone who lives

locally

and can work flexible hours. You will need to be able to work fast, under pressure and maintain an excellent level of customer service. You will need to be able to learn new skills fast and absorb a lot of information.

No previous pharmacy experience is required. We provide full training which will enable you to hand out prescriptions, process orders for repeat medicines, give basic advice on minor ailments, put stock away, keep the pharmacy clean, safe and tidy and dispense medicines.

Successful applicants will be invited to an interview on Saturday 4th October, you will be allocated an interview time, you may request a change of

TIME - NOT DATE.

The interview will be a maximum of 15mins face to face meeting. This will be held in the dispensary area where others can hear you. You will be presented with a test, this will consist of mental arithmetic and spelling questions, there will also be a "spot the difference" challenge.
