Hey there,

We are looking for a passionate, caring and ideally experienced pharmacy counter assistant to join our small, but growing and close knit independent community pharmacy team. We are a busy and vibrant community pharmacy with close links to our main surgery. Our main focus is to give excellent customer service, to make our customers lives as easy as possible with real care. Some of our customers are amongst the most vulnerable in the community, and the job will provide an opportunity to genuinely make a real difference in many peoples lives on a daily basis, and be a true asset to caring for the community.

Our ideal candidate must be hard working, commited, trustworthy, have great communication and greeting skills, and must be able to build rapport and a relationship with our patients. You must be a team player and be able to be empathetic when needed, with great customer service skills. Previous pharmacy experience will be highly preferred, but not an absolute essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.

The job's role will include, supporting the pharmacist, chasing queries, handling and handing out medication, ordering and taking repeat medication requests. Giving healthcare advice, and promoting healthy lifestyles. liaising with the local surgery, and handling, stocking and promoting shop stock as well as other pharmacy services.

The position will be part-time:

Monday to Friday - Total 40 hours per week. We are closed for lunch between 1-2pm.

The position requires flexibility to cover when other memebers of staff are on holiday/sick, and it also requires at least one Saturday a month to be worked (9am-1pm).

Our salary is highly competitive and above most our competitors, but is dependent on experience. Yearly bonuses and regular reviews of salary is also given, and dependent of service provided.
