Responsibilities

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, in a safe and responsible manner. Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit. Communicate with warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries and pick-ups effectively. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial but not essential. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management skills are essential for success in this role.
