Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and be comfortable operating a van or similar vehicle.

You MUST have your own vehicle for doing the deliveries, and be able to use a basic app which maps the more efficient route for you. Milage is paid at 0.32p per mile + hourly rate. Schedule is Monday - Friday from 2pm onwards, however, we are looking for several candidates so days can be split up.

Duties

Safely drive a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage. Communicate effectively with Pharmacy staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in the Pharmacy as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is essential. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers. Experience working in a Pharmacy as a delivery driver is advantageous, but not mandatory.
