Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service and have the ability to navigate efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role involves driving to various locations, handling packages, and maintaining a positive rapport with clients.

The hours for the role are Monday and Tuesday 9am until 2pm and candidate must be flexible to accommodate holiday cover.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Deliver of prescriptions to our valued patients. Collection of prescriptions from local GP surgeries. Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Load and unload goods, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues. Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential. A valid driver's licence is required; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is advantageous. No prior driving convictions Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading of goods. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. A good understanding of local routes and navigation systems is desirable.
