Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential.
