Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, courteous, and responsible

Pharmacy Delivery Driver

to join our team at Newsome Pharmacy. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and safe delivery of prescriptions and pharmacy products to our patients' homes, care homes, and other healthcare establishments. This role is essential to maintaining the high standard of care we provide to our community.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and deliver prescription medicines and pharmacy products from the pharmacy to patients, care homes, and healthcare settings. Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion at all times in accordance with GPhC and NHS guidelines. Provide excellent customer service and act as a friendly and helpful representative of the pharmacy. Obtain necessary signatures for deliveries and ensure secure handover of medication. Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximise time and fuel usage. Accurately record delivery details and complete relevant documentation. Report back to the pharmacy team with any patient queries, concerns, or issues encountered during delivery. Maintain regular communication with the pharmacy team for updates and delivery changes. Check vehicle regularly to ensure it is clean, roadworthy, and compliant with pharmacy transport requirements. Adhere to Siky Limited's safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety protocols.

Essential Requirements

Must have a valid UK driving licence and own a reliable vehicle. Must be eligible to work in the UK. Good knowledge of Huddersfield and surrounding areas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, patient-focused, and professional attitude. Ability to handle medicines responsibly and follow strict protocols. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to GDPR guidelines. Flexible, punctual, and self-motivated. Willingness to undergo a DBS check (enhanced).

Desirable Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a similar delivery driver role, preferably in a pharmacy, healthcare, or courier environment.
Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
