Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. The position requires a valid driver's licence and previous experience in delivery or commercial driving.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to proper handling techniques Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines Deliver products to customers' premises in a professional and courteous manner Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns Assist in warehouse activities when not on deliveries, including stock organisation and inventory checks

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members Strong organisational skills to plan routes effectively Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods
