Woodsetton Pharmacy prides itself in delivering excellence in healthcare through its dedicated team members.

We are looking for a Pharmacy Delivery Driver who has a caring nature with excellent attitude and dedication to represent Woodsetton Pharmacy when delivering medication to our customers and visiting local surgeries.

As a Woodsetton Pharmacy driver you will be playing an active part in your community, and be that regular friendly face to our patients who have trouble getting out and about.

For this role you will be required to remain flexible on a day-to-day basis in order to meet the needs of the pharmacy, this may mean shift patterns may vary depending on daily requirements. The applicant needs to be able to work effectively under pressure in order to ensure deliveries reach the customer in the defined time period.

We are looking for an individual that is flexible, personable and professional who will be the face of Woodsetton Pharmacy on the road.

Your main responsibility will be to promptly and conscientiously deliver and collect prescriptions and/or items to private houses, nursing and residential homes.

Additional Core Duties:

Prepare the pharmacy van for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tyre pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to road ability standards.
Complete and maintain all paperwork/documents required by Woodsetton Pharmacy.
Attention to detail is paramount as you will be responsible for ensuring that prescription items are delivered in line with the company's regulated procedures.
You must always be smartly presented for work.
You will need a clean UK driving licence
Ideally have a good local knowledge to assist you with navigating and planning your workload by establishing the shortest route and maintain a schedule.
At all times maintain absolute patient confidentiality.
Be prepared to cover the work of colleagues when they are absent through annual leave or illness.
Maintains van operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs.
Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organisation operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations.
The successful applicant will be subjected to an enhanced DBS check.

Skills Required:

The applicant will need excellent communication skills to ensure information is passed to the customer correctly and relay information back to our pharmacy team accurately.
*You will support the Pharmacy team, ensuring deliveries reach the correct patient with reasonable promptness. It is essential that medications are delivered responsibly and securely.

*You will need good organisational skills to enable you to plan your route efficiently.
