Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and outstanding communication skills to provide exceptional service to our clients. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety procedures Ensure all deliveries are accurate and complete, verifying items against delivery notes Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly after each delivery Report any vehicle defects or accidents immediately to management

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving or warehouse environments Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; a driver qualification is preferred Experience in commercial driving, including handling heavy loads and navigating urban or rural routes Familiarity with warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques is advantageous Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently under minimal supervision
