Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to support the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, including dosage, frequency, and patient information. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications, side effects, and usage instructions. Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure the safe and effective administration of medications. Conduct regular checks on stock levels and expiry dates to maintain a well-organised pharmacy environment. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance knowledge of pharmacy practices.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is preferred. Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals alike. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards within the pharmacy setting. Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous but not mandatory.
