Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals. Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication administration and usage. Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventories, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes. Conduct regular checks on medication stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical terminology. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A compassionate approach towards patient interactions, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Pay: 11.55-11.81 per hour
