Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser and Counter Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients and will be the first point of contact with our customers, providing them with the best possible care.

This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.

NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification is ideal, training will be provided.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosage, and administration. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for patients. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Assist in the preparation of medication orders and ensure proper labelling of all dispensed products. Conduct regular stock checks and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Uphold hygiene standards and maintain a clean working environment in accordance with health regulations. First point of contact with our customers, providing them with the best possible advice Handle over-the-counter medication sales and provide information on product usage. Process payments accurately and issue receipts. Monitor and manage shop floor stock levels.

Experience

Previous experience in a Pharmacy or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of medication administration and pharmaceutical terminology is essential. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service. Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are critical for success in this role. Have a desire to make a difference to the health and well-being of our patients. Pay: From 12.21 per hour
