Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and a strong commitment to patient safety and service excellence.

Duties

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist patients with medication queries and repeat prescription ordering. Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions Maintain accurate records of dispensed medicines and patient interactions. Support inventory management by stock checking, ordering, and organising pharmaceutical supplies Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised work environment Contribute to delivering high-quality patient care through attentive service and accurate dispensing

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser with a NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable Demonstrated knowledge of medications, accurate handling and dispensing. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and confidentiality. Medicine Counter qualification is highly desirable. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and record keeping standards is preferred Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in medication dispensing Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members
This role is ideal for individuals committed to providing outstanding patient care within a professional pharmacy environment.

40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 9am-1pm, 2pm-6pm, 1in4 Sat 9am-1pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-33,000.00 per year
