Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support medication administration processes.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with established protocols and regulations. Assist pharmacists in preparing and labelling medications for patients. Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes. Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in dispensing medications. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. A valid certification or qualification in pharmacy practice is preferred.
