Pharmacy Dispenser
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and self driven individual who is confident in working both independently and also as part of a team.
The position is for a part time, permanent position for an experienced pharmacy dispenser. It is essential that the candidate has employed experience of working in a pharmacy. The ideal candidate must have a NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing qualification or equivalent.
We are a family run community pharmacy which is situated in the heart of Highgate and is walking distance from the city centre. We have a close relationship with the local community and surgeries. We are looking for someone who is committed to helping and serving the local community with their health needs.

Key responsibilities for the role include:
Confidently dispensing medication including blister trays Supporting pharmacy staff in daily dispensary duties including; dispensing prescriptions, checking and putting away stock Takes in and hands out prescriptions Confidently dealing with customer queries over the phone Supporting the pharmacist to deliver pharmacy services to customers To provide a high-level customer care service to ensure customer satisfaction Able to confidently provide over the counter advice regarding minor ailments and knows when to refer to the pharmacist Stays updated in knowledge regarding over the counter medicines, so can provide customers with the best advice Carries out date checking
Essential skills required:
Strong patient care skills Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications Familiarity with pharmacy software
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
