Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper dosage and patient instructions Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering medication guidance Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient files accordingly Support pharmacy stock management, including inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage of medicines Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional standards at all times

Experience

Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems is advantageous Experience in patient care, including providing medication guidance and support, is desirable Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in dispensing medication Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients and healthcare team members
