The Role
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a key role in delivering an efficient, friendly, and professional service to our customers. Your duties will include:
Dispensing and labelling of prescriptions
Serving customers at the front counter and providing excellent customer service
Receiving prescriptions and handing out dispensed items
Supporting customers with minor ailments and over-the-counter product selection, in line with training and SOPs
Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and monitor expiry dates of medicines
Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing orders
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
All staff are expected to work flexibly across the pharmacy to support safe and effective daily operations.
The Ideal Candidate
Proactive and reliable
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medicines
Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
A strong team player who enjoys working in a small, close-knit team
Desirable
Previous experience working in a community pharmacy in the UK is required.
A recognised qualification or training in pharmacy support is advantageous but not essential
Proposed Shift Pattern:
Monday: 13:40 - 18:10 (4.5 hours)
Wednesday: 09:00 - 14:00 (5 hours)
Friday: 13:40 - 18:10 (4.5 hours)
Saturday: 09:00 - 13:30 (4.5 hours)
Alternate Thursday: 13:40 - 18:10 (4.5 hours)
Total hours:
Week without Thursday: 18.5 hours
Week with Thursday: 23 hours
*Shift times may vary slightly in line with business needs, with reasonable notice provided.
