Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team at Elloughton Pharmacy. Dispensing background is preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate!

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, alongside the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will collaborate closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our patients.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing medications as necessary. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering advice on their proper use. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure proper storage conditions are adhered to. Support pharmacists in conducting medication reviews and monitoring patient outcomes. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy workspace, adhering to health and safety standards. Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies when necessary.

Skills

Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Proficient in medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and safety in dispensing practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.70 per hour
