Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our friendly team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals as needed. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering guidance on proper usage and potential side effects. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of medications. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure optimal medication administration practices are followed. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare professionals alike. Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and inventory management. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.

Pay: 17,500.00-25,000.00 per year
