We are looking for a dispenser or dispensing assistant with an
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent UK qualification (Scotland, Norther Ireland, or recognised in-house Pharmacy Training from Boots, Well, Lloyds etc)
. We can also support training transfer from Buttercups and Skills4Pharmacy if the training remains active and this must be endorsed by current mentor or the training provider.
The role requires at least 25 hours of weekly work with the essential shift of
1pm to 6pm Monday to Friday
. The pay offer will depend on experience and hours can be increased through covering colleagues on leave. If we can see great promise, increased hours can be arranged permanently.
As with most community pharmacy role, prolonged movement and standing during your shift is expected with light to medium lifting, reaching out and picking things from bottom shelves, and constant use of display equipment. Attention to detail is also essential and a caring communication style for patients, customers, and colleagues.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a UK pharmacy.

Responsibilities
Provide exceptional patient care by accurately dispensing medications and offering guidance on their proper use.
Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure the safe handling of medications according to the SOP, and the timely processing of prescriptions.
Support the pharmacists in higher services patient intake by actively identifying opportunistic service gaps through effective patient and customer engagement and prescription items.
Maintain inventory levels and assist in the management of pharmaceutical supplies.
Educate patients on medication adherence and potential side effects.
Uphold compliance with health regulations and pharmacy standards.
Assist in the training of new pharmacy staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
Caister-on-Sea Branch & Career Progression
The branch is located in a GP Surgery and the colleagues are experienced in the pharmacy to be able to provide mentorship. Opportunities in developing a career in the pharmacy in the area of supporting the pharmacist towards higher services uptake by actively identifying opportunistic services for patients and customers.
