Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser or technician to join our team as Care Home/Trays Supervisor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy. This position requires a strong commitment to accuracy and a passion for helping others.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations. Assist in medication administration under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals. Provide excellent patient care by addressing queries, offering advice on medication usage, and ensuring patients understand their treatment plans. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and manage inventory levels effectively. Supervise the trays and other medications we supply to local care homes working closely with the homes to give their patients the care they rely on Participate in training and development activities to enhance professional skills and knowledge in pharmacy practices.

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or technician is required demonstrating familiarity with pharmacy operations and medication management. Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care practices is essential. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals alike.
