Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support medication administration processes.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals. Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, inventory levels, and patient interactions. Collaborate with pharmacists to manage stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice.

Skills

Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration processes and pharmaceutical terminology. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals alike. Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and inventory management.
