Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient health and well-being within a professional environment. Prior pharmacy experience is highly desirable.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions Support inventory management by checking stock levels and reordering supplies as needed Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards Offer compassionate patient care, answering queries and providing guidance on medication management Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining confidentiality of patient information

Skills

Prior pharmacy experience is preferred but not essential Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and safety protocols Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors Compassionate approach with strong communication skills for effective patient interaction Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is advantageous Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism
