Dispenser Job Advert:



We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our Dispensing team within the Pharmacy. If you have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or are currently working towards it, this is an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality service.

Key Responsibilities:



Act as the first point of contact for patients.

Process and distribute prescriptions efficiently.

Dispense medications with accuracy and care.

Utilise dispensary and store computer systems to generate stock lists and labels.

Maintain appropriate stock levels within the dispensary.

Receive, load, and unload incoming goods from wholesalers, manufacturers, and suppliers.

Sell over-the-counter medicines in compliance with regulations.

Address queries regarding medicine availability and supply within competence.

Respond promptly to routine telephone and face-to-face inquiries from patients, representatives, the public, and healthcare professionals, referring complex queries to the appropriate pharmacy team member.

Escalate any identified issues or concerns to pharmacists or pharmacy technicians.

Pre-pack, assemble, and label medicines accurately.

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations.

Act as a mentor for apprentices & counter assistants.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Team Leader.

Qualifications and Requirements:



NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or currently working towards certification. Strong IT skills: experience with Proscript is advantageous but not essential. Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills. GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
