We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Duties
Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication supplies for patients
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting
Offer compassionate patient care by answering queries and providing medication-related advice under supervision
Assist with medication administration in clinical settings when required
Skills
Proven experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role within a healthcare environment
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent dispensing errors
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding
Ability to follow strict confidentiality protocols in handling sensitive information
What you'll need to have
Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent).
Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
