Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards. Assist in the preparation and administration of medication, adhering to safety protocols. Provide information and guidance to patients regarding their prescriptions, including usage, side effects, and storage. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care. Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is desirable but not required. Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and pharmaceutical practices. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of work.
