Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support medication administration processes.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Assist in the preparation and labelling of medications, including both prescription and over-the-counter products. Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory levels of pharmaceutical supplies. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering guidance on proper usage. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in medication dispensing. Participate in training programs for new staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy operations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable. Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration practices. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.95-13.21 per hour
