Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications to patients, ensuring that all prescriptions are filled in accordance with legal and safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in patient care by providing essential information about medications and assisting in the overall management of pharmacy operations.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products to patients. Verify prescription information and ensure that all medications are prepared according to established protocols. Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication administration and usage. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and assist in inventory management. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards. Assist in training new staff members on pharmacy procedures and best practices.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred. Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration practices. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for accuracy in dispensing medications. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice. Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy or healthcare are advantageous but not mandatory.
