Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations. Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations Support administrative tasks such as stock management, ordering supplies, and maintaining documentation Assist with care home and MDS dispensing

Skills

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is highly desirable Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems (Pharmacy Manager PMR System) Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional ethics

NVQ2 (or equivalent)

qualification in Pharmacy Services is required
