Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner. Your expertise in medication administration and pharmacy practices will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficacy.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products as per established protocols. Assist pharmacists in preparing and labelling medications for patients. Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Conduct inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications as necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the pharmacy environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes.

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable. Familiarity with medication administration processes is essential. Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are crucial for success in this role. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
