Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with health regulations. Your commitment to patient care and medication administration will contribute significantly to the overall health and wellbeing of our community.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with established guidelines. Conduct thorough checks on prescriptions to ensure correct dosages and formulations. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications and their usage. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with all relevant health regulations and safety standards within the pharmacy environment. Assist in the training of junior staff or pharmacy technicians as required.

Skills

Proficient in medication administration, demonstrating a clear understanding of various medications and their effects. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable, showcasing familiarity with pharmacy operations. Strong commitment to patient care, ensuring that all interactions are conducted with empathy and professionalism. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions with patients and team members.
