Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispensing prescribed medications while providing exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering advice on their proper use. Assist in the administration of medication under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to optimise workflow and enhance service delivery. Ensure the pharmacy is organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed. Work with the rest of the pharmacy team to manage the shop and ensure stock is replenished and available for our customers.

Experience

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving patient care or medication administration. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times. A commitment to continuous professional development within the pharmaceutical field is encouraged.
