We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team within in non clinical setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment. The Pharmacy Dispenser will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispensing prescriptions while providing exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations.
Provide patient care by offering advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and answering any queries related to prescriptions.
Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed, including inventory management and stock control.
Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow within the pharmacy.
Assist in the preparation of medication administration for patients, ensuring all dosages are correct and safe for consumption.
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices and regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medication administration and patient care principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Must have a Dispensing Qualification
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude towards patient interactions.
A valid qualification as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with patients empathetically.
