Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser who has a passion for assisting customers as they purchase their medications. The right candidate will be play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong focus on patient care, adherence to pharmacy regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide medication administration support under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies. Engage with patients to provide information about their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and patient interactions in accordance with pharmacy policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy workspace.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser is highly desirable Strong attention to detail and efficient organisational skills Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and technology i.e. NHS systems, Proscript Connect) A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
