Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner. Your expertise in medication administration and pharmacy practices will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products as per the pharmacist's instructions. Assist in the preparation of medication, including counting, measuring, and mixing as necessary. Provide patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and potential side effects. Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions dispensed, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels and ensure that stock is replenished as needed. Conduct regular checks on medication expiry dates and assist in the disposal of expired products. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and pharmaceutical terminology. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service. Attention to detail is crucial for accurately dispensing medications and maintaining records. Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated to manage individual tasks efficiently. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is an advantage but not essential.
