Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support medication administration processes.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure that all prescriptions are filled in accordance with legal and professional standards. Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications, their usage, and potential side effects. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain accurate patient records. Conduct regular checks on medication stock levels and expiry dates to ensure the availability of necessary medications. Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new medications, procedures, and best practices within the pharmacy.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient care practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail is essential for accurately dispensing medications and maintaining records. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
