Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities
Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, storage, and potential side effects
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Support inventory management by stock checking and ordering supplies as needed
Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety standards
Support patient care activities, including medication administration under supervision where applicable
Handle customer queries professionally and courteously, providing excellent patient service
Skills
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser/Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems - RxWEB
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards in healthcare settings
