Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services, contributing to patient safety and wellbeing. Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred, along with a commitment to excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution Support medication administration processes within the pharmacy setting Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering medication guidance under supervision Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory management Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and confidentiality standards Support stock control, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe pharmacy environment

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is highly desirable Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent dispensing errors Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment A recognised qualification or certification in pharmacy services is advantageous Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to health & safety standards
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 43 per week
