Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will be responsible for supporting pharmacists in medication administration and providing excellent service to our patients.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of medication doses, including counting, measuring, and labelling medications. Provide information and advice to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management. Conduct inventory management tasks, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and monitoring expiry dates of medications. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail is essential for accurately dispensing medications and maintaining records. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
