Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. Your expertise in medication administration and patient care will contribute significantly to the overall health and well-being of our community.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide exceptional patient care by offering advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes. Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed, including inventory management and stock control. Assist in the preparation of medication orders and ensure timely delivery to patients. Conduct regular checks on medication expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions are maintained. Engage with patients in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any queries or concerns they may have regarding their medications.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of pharmacy practice.
