We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team.
You
must have pharmacy experience working as a dispenser
ideally with a qualification (NVQ 2/3) or in training currently.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medication administration and have experience as a pharmacy technician. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. you will also help support the team in delivering pharmacy services such as the Pharmacy Hypertension Service.
Responsibilities
Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and administration.
Performs administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to medication dispensation.
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Address patient inquiries and concerns regarding medications in a professional manner.
Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Undergo relevant product and governance training
Self-motivated, well organized and able to work to deadlines
Be able to work on your own and as part of a team
Pleasant, tactful manner when dealing with the public either in person or via the phone
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser.
(Minimum of NVQ 2)
Experience of using Titan PMR is highly desirable
Must have good IT skills
Strong knowledge of medication administration practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care.
A commitment to continuous professional development within the pharmacy sector.

Schedule
Shift pattern will be weekly alternating between the early and late shift
Early shift is 9am - 5pm and Late shift is 1pm - 9pm
Weekend support to cover annual leave as required
