Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.

Duties

Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Provide exceptional patient care by offering advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, including patient information and prescription details. Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes. Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications as necessary. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices.

Requirements

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable; experience as a Pharmacy Technician is an advantage. Strong understanding of medication administration and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in all aspects of work. Titan PMR user would be a bonus but not essential
