Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. The applicant must have a minimum experience of 2 years in the UK.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of medications. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and health-related concerns. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective medication management. Participate in training and mentoring junior staff or pharmacy technicians as required. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Be able to handle MDS trays in terms of ordering prescriptions, preparation and checking.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician here in the UK is a requirement. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of pharmacy practice.
