Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the medication administration process, ensuring that patients receive their prescriptions accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Assist in the preparation of medications, including measuring, mixing, and packaging as required. Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address any patient concerns or queries related to their medication. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in pharmacy practices.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable. Familiarity with medication administration processes is essential. A strong background in patient care, demonstrating excellent communication skills and empathy towards patients. Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated to manage individual responsibilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in all tasks performed.
