Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented and dedicated dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the preparation, dispensing, ordering and supply of medicines as well promoting healthcare products to our community. They would ensure patients receive safe, accurate and timely medications while maintaining excellent customer service and regulatory standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Dispensing Medicines- under supervision of the pharmacist. Customer Service- greet and assist patients over the counter and telephone. Stock Management- receive, check and store pharmaceutical stock, monitoring expiry dates and rotating stock. Record Keeping- maintain accurate prescription and patient records in line with legal and NHS requirements. Health and Safety Compliance- follow procedures for the safe handling and disposal of medicines. Team Support- assist the team with daily operations Administrative Duties- manage till operations, supply ordering, and prescription claiming. Be able to promote and have an awareness of pharmacy services.

Skills

Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with the multidisciplinary team and patients alike. Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is essential. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Empathy and confidentiality when handling patient information.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
