We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and providing excellent patient care together with providing private services. Responsibilities
Accurately dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, ensuring correct dosages and patient details are verified.
Assist with medication administration processes, including preparing and packaging prescriptions for patient collection or delivery.
Provide compassionate support and information to patients regarding their medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
Maintain precise records of dispensed medicines in accordance with legal and organisational standards.
Support inventory management by checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage conditions are maintained.
Uphold strict hygiene and safety protocols within the pharmacy environment to safeguard both staff and patients.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and medication management.
Requirements
Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy regulations.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors during dispensing processes.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A recognised qualification in pharmacy services or relevant healthcare training is preferred but not essential.
