Pharmacy Dispenser Or Technician
Job Description
We are a family owned community pharmacy, with a very high level of dispensing. We have been based in the Pontllanfraith Health Centre for over 40 years and aim to provide excellent customer service, making a real difference to the lives of our patients, whether they visit our pharmacy or participate in our home delivery service. We achieve this through our highly skilled team of professionals who enjoy working together and put our patients first.
We are looking to recruit a dispenser or technician to join our team (pay reflects the different levels). Working 2.5 days a week with scope to work additional hours to cover holidays if you would like to do this.
Our opening hours are 09.00 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 18.00 Monday to Friday. This job would work to a 6 week rota:
1 week of Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Thursday all day and
5 weeks of Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Friday all day
The successful candidate will be part of a professional and supportive team who are expected to maintain and develop their skills supported by the supervising pharmacists.
Essential Skills:
GPhC Accredited Pharmacy Technician or NVQ/RQF Level 2 Certified Dispenser Able to dispense medication and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Passionate about promoting and delivering pharmacy services, creating opportunities with customers where appropriate and delivering high levels of care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Excellent customer service skills, being confident to give healthcare advice on minor ailments. Good planning and organising skills with a strong attention to detail. High standards of literacy & numeracy. Good levels of IT literacy. Works well under pressure.

Hours: 20 hours per week

Salary: 12.85 per hour for a qualified dispenser with experience, 14.22 per hour for a GPhC registered pharmacy technician.
