Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and adherence to pharmacy regulations. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our patients.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with legal requirements. Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including compounding when necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Provide information and advice to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects. Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge of pharmaceutical practices.

Skills

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medication administration processes and pharmaceutical terminology. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Proficient in using pharmacy management software and other relevant technology.
